Your Bio

I'm a Florida Native recently transplanted to the Mountains above Reno, Nevada. Where, you say? Oh, only about 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe where, in the summer, instead of sitting indoors hiding from the heat like you would in South Florida, you can get out and hike with a camera in hand, capturing pixels all over the place. It's almost always sunny here, and even the snow only lasts for a little while. By the way, please don't tell anyone back home how beautiful it is here, let's keep it our secret.

Sierra Wildflowers from the mountains of Reno and Lake Tahoe, : The Wildflowers have been spectacular this year, thanks to quite a bit of the White Stuff. The display began along Mt. Rose Highway back in May, and just continued to get brighter and better. These images are from Spooner Lake, The Flume Trail, Carsons Pass, Mt. Rose, Old 395 between Reno And Carson City, Nevada.

Furry Friends : Jim's Buddies. We live at the tree line in the mountains above Reno and, yes, you can call us old fogies, but we love to spend hours sitting on our deck, watching the deer, ground squirrels, bunnies, bear, coyote, and other furry friends who like to pay us a visit. We actually call them Buddies, and when either one of us spots one, we always annouce, "The Buddies are here." So, here they are.
